Jazz Band Audition

REQUIREMENTS

• Auditions for the 2022-2023 Beavercreek High School Jazz Bands are open to any student who participates in a band or choir class at Beavercreek High School and meet the minimum extracurricular grade requirements.

• This year, all auditions will be done online. Students will submit a video of their audition through the Google form found on the band website no later than Wednesday, Nov. 30th. Videos must include footage of the student playing the instrument. Videos that do not show the student playing (for example, videos of a ceiling fan with audio, etc.) will not be valid.

THE AUDITION

• Students who wish to audition should sign up for an audition time and prepare the material from the audition packet.

• Audition expectations are listed in the packet for each instrument

• The prepared piece and improvisation backing tracks are available on SmartMusic under the “Jazz Band Audition” class. You may enroll in this class and choose the appropriate backing tracks for your instrument. The class code is JQTQ2-MG3TP
